Events and Activities

On August 18,2019-Cebuanos Engaging in Building Unity Inc. in partnership with South Ozone Park Empire Medical Lions Club in cooperation with the Church of the Ascension had their 2nd Annual Health Awareness-Wellness Mission at the Lower Church Area.
CEBU Inc. and Empire Lions Club members, volunteer friends, nurses, and doctors worked hand in hand to provide the following services: Height, Weight, BMI, Blood Pressure Screening, Pulmonary & Cardiac Screening, Anemia & Diabetes Screening, Stress & Spiritual Counselling, Physical Therapy, Vision Screening, Nutrition consultation & Urine Testing. Mammogram Service was also provided by the American-Italian Cancer Foundations’s (AICF) Mobile Unit.
The Health Awareness- Wellness Mission served a total of 150 participants comprising of young adults to the elderly from the local and neighboring communities.
Congratulations to the Chair Persons namely: Olivia David representing SOP Empire Lions Club, Edynne Baclay, Maricar Rondina, Arlene Le and Erica Patricio, all members of CEBU Inc. for all the hard work, preparation and coordination. It was indeed a rewarding experience for those who took part in the mission as we witnessed the smiles and gratitude from the people we served.
